I am still in the mood for revisiting the albums of yesteryear. 'Mockingbirds' came on via the shuffle a few minutes ago, so I am spending some time listening to 'Mighty Joe Moon'. I remember falling in love with Grant Lee Phillip's voice the first time I heard this song. I think this came out in....94 I wanna say? I like all of the GLB albums and all of Phillips solo albums, but this is my favorite disc of theirs...with the debut Fuzzy as a close second.Hope everyone is having a grand start to their long weekend....

contrabandwidth says Man, it was good to hear that again. I remember buying the album because of that song, but never getting into the rest of the album. I would like to give a listen again. I'm gonna be on the look out for it. Total blast from the past.

Me and the Horse I Rode In On says Grant Lee is one of those songwriters I always trust. That song is so so so good.

magenta636 says i love love love grant lee buffalo - i first heard them in '94 when i was living in the UK and my new boyfriend played the hell out of this album - when i got back to the states i couldn't get it in my little town so i had to order it and wait 3 months for it to arrive - since then i've pretty well bought everything they (and grant, solo) have ever done - this whole album is my favorite, but my most favorite song of all by GLB is Bethlehem Steel...i'll post it over on my page, you got me in the mood!
