   gympumpkin says Thanks for posting the Leadbelly version. I have never heard it before, and I always wanted to. It's weird, I've been listening to Nirvana a lot for the first time in a lot of years. It's not that I haven't heard any Nirvana songs during that time, but it's the first time in a long time that I'm making a conscious effort to listen to them. And it's as if Kurt Cobain's death hit me all over again during the past few weeks. Very sad :(

   gympumpkin says They do get better! With a big chunk (though not all, because I"ve always had good taste :)) of music from my high school years, I hear the songs now and I still love them because of what they meant to me then, but really if those songs were released now I wouldn't like them. At the time Nevermind came out, I was one of those kids who thought Kurt Cobain spoke for me. Now that some time has passed, I realize how good the music actually was, it didn't just fit how I felt then, but it was really good.
