WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

'Things we lost in the fire'

Posted over 2 years ago
During my battle with the flu this past week I took some time in between whining and watching bad tv to sift through the only two boxes of stuff that survived my house fire last July. I don't know, its like every time I go through it I will find that one magical photo or letter, something personal and specific and meaningful that I somehow missed the previous hundred times. Nothing magical was found, alas, but it is still comforting in a weird way...I don't think I will every get rid of these two ashen boxes. I did find a REALLY bad paper I wrote for a Pyschology class my senior year in high school. The premise being pick three songs like you like and analyze them, one page each. I picked GNR's 'Don't Cry', Alice In Chain's 'Angry Chair' and the Black Crowes 'Seeing Things For The First Time'....i think I said all three were about drugs...got a solid A, proving my theory that this particular teacher never read a single thing ANYONE EVER turned in!!

  1. Rawkkiddoh says I know too many teachers who are like that, they read the first batch of papers that come in, and the rest of the grading is based on those first grades.

  2. Anna says Ha, we had a teacher like that in college. One time, 3 people gave her the same exact paper; aside the fact that she did not notice that they gave her the same paper, one got a 4 (the grades in college go from 1 to 10) & failed, the other one got a 6 and the other an 8. ahahhaha

  3. Rawkkiddoh says that is too funny, and you know it goes on a lot with teaching
