WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I had the best of intentions....

Posted over 2 years ago
I started this post because I loved the song Amy Honey posted by the Golden Smog called 'V'. In my mind, that song was always about musician Victoria Williams...as the man who wrote it, Gary Louris, was in the Jayhawks with Williams husband Marc Olson for years....then it occurred to me that I really have nothing to base this own but my own conjecture. Now that I have thoroughly confused ANYONE who read this with all of the name dropping, i am just going to keep on believing that 'V' is about her...and in celebration here is her song 'Lights' as performed by the Jayhawks(see how that all kind of came together in the end?)...'Sweet Relief' is an amazing compilation/benefit album done for Victoria Williams when she was diagnosed with MS in 1993.

  1. NeilNathan says the pearl jam version of crazy mary rules on that record, i've always wished the eddie and the boys would do a record of mellow tunes like that, his tone is so perfect and chill i also love the evan dando version of frying pan, covered that at my first gig long ago
