WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Clem Snide - A Love Story

Posted over 2 years ago
Just a quick salute to one of my favorite bands on the planet that I don't hear many people talking about, Clem Snide. First of all, I never had a chance. I fell in love with these guys from the first time the first few notes of their Ritchie Valen's cover 'Donna' danced into my ear. I am a huge fan of the late 50's stuff, especially Buddy Holly, who Eef Barzelay(the creative spark behind Clem snide) reminds me of every time I see him.And then there is the name. Any band who gets their name from a character in a William S. Burroughs book has instant street cred with me. I have been loving their music ever since...Here is their cover of a certain pop diva's big hit...i have a couple of other songs I will share in a little while...snowed in = lots o' moggin

  4. SatisfiedMind614 says And the first thing that every killer reads is Catcher in the Rye One of my favorite lyrics of all time right there! I swear, Eef is in my head...he is one of the musicians i would most want to sit down and have a beer with, you know? I think we would be fast friends! Of course I would probably get totally stupid and spill the beer all over him...i am suave like that

  8. BrandNewSumthing says I loooove "I'll Be Your Mirror" and "Happy Birthday". Eef Barzelay deserves to much more famous than he is. I must admit, though, that I'm not a big fan of "Beautiful".
