Why GOD invented mp3 playesrs

Posted about 5 years ago
I would have had a total migraine today....or worse, had I not brought my mp3 player with me to my nephew's basketball game. For the love of GOD, these parents are insane...you would think the way they were verbally abusing the poor refs(who I am sure are not getting rich officiating basketball games in a league of 9 and 10 year olds) that we were watching the 7th game of the NBA finials, not a kids rec league.Idiots. All of them. My brother and his wife included. I wish they could remember that the kids are still learning how to play the game...at least wait until high school before you start with the over zealous berating of officials and coaches. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HAVING FUN.But I digress...the point I was trying to make was that once again, my first and most loyal love - music, saved the day. Elvis Costello and Mos Def sound so much better than those screaming maniacs....i have seen more civilized crowds at Cypress Hill shows.So...in honor of music, here is wonderful tune from Alabama 3....just seems to fit

  3. mutterimieli says Ya, I hear ya B, my nephew plays on Sundays in an Asian church league. My sister is the loudest, and I swear my brother-in-law is going to get the team a technical one day. My poor nephew..and when my brother-in-law yells a compliment, my sister yells after him, "your dad complimented you babe, better take it doesn't come often", as a joke. I admit I do the Woo Hoo's and Go Bud thing but I don't take it as far as some of the others. We let my mom sit in front of my sister because she doesn't hear to well, therefore my sister's yelling won't affect her hearing. heh

  4. deadmandeadman says And we wonder why so many children have no idea what it means to conduct themselves properly in so many different settings. A lack of civil obedience is a growing plague, fueled by the Me First Ego Gratification fixation of current pop culture. Sports parents teach lessons, children soak up information on many many levels. But let me posit this; Who are the worse offenders? The few who spoil it for the many? Or the silent many?
