WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

A blessing or a curse?

Posted over 2 years ago
Other than that treadmill song, I haven't heard a single note of OK Go's music, but I wonder if they curse the day they made that video. I mean I am sure the are enjoying the success, but how much fun would it be to have to do this(see picture) EVERY single night for the rest of your career...

  3. Dale says Yup, they sure do. See for yourself:

  4. SatisfiedMind614 says you think they would want to break away from that association...the song isn't bad, but the dancing, even though they are kidding around, is lame

  5. gympumpkin says I think they dig the dancing. I saw them do the dance from the Million Ways video at a show before the video came out. The did it at the end of every set. Apparently it's not the first one they did, they had another choreographed dance before that. That's they're thing. They wear that same type of retro clothing on stage. That's sort of their personality. Before they did the dance, one of them said, "If you didn't like our set, you're really going to hate this." It's totally their sense of humor.

  7. gympumpkin says Yeah, though you bring up a good point. If their sense of humor changes they might be haunted by that. But they were doing stuff like that before they became well known for it, so hopefully they are enjoying it and having fun.

  8. SatisfiedMind614 says I just had the thought that "Treadmill" could turn into their own personal 'Freebird!"

  9. Mojination says They could always end up selling treadmills on an infomercial with Tony Little. And people thought Rupert Holmes was stupid. Now I'm sure he gets free Pina Coladas at every bar. Career Move?

  11. lemontwist says They could just keep writing songs and killer dances to accompany, that way they won't get bored with just one or two. They didn't do any dances when I saw 'em in Troy, but their show was awesome without. Although at one point one of their electronic backdrops (which were totally wicked, best I've ever seen) looked like cheap 60s patterned wallpaper and it was dark violet with flowers and stripes and tiny little treadmills on it. They showed that when they played Here It Goes Again. :)
