In the midst of another dialouge in my previous post, this song popped into my head.

This tune, if i am not mistaken, is about the director Paul Thomas Anderson(Boogie Nights, Magnolia)...The gold standard in 'celebrity' break up songs is 'Your So Vain' by Carly Simon I would say...What are some other songs by artists about famous exes? Anyone have any?

kat3260 says I know there was a lot of tension in Fleetwood Mac...I think their best song, "The Chain" was written after a break up between Stevie Nicks & Lindsay Buckingham maybe...it must be crazy to have to keep performing with someone after a tough break-up...

Universalis says Not exactly inside subject, but makes me think of Mick Jagger singing 'Angie' (whose 'Angie' is supposed to be David Bowie...) don't ask it's just history 8-)
