clear up this misconception that I ONLY listen to sad, depressing music! I only listen to sad, deprresing music probably 85% of the time...ok, like maybe 90% of the time...whatever!But I have started a "Happiness" set over on my multiply page...so check out the feel good tunes here:http://satisfiedmind.multiply.com/music/item/117And for some instant happiness....the Lemonheads always make me smile!

  1. chucky says Blair - your idea of happy music scares me. :) Tomorrow I am going to try to put together a playlist for you.

  4. chucky says pshaw. No JT. But, "he kinda should sorta loved her but he didn't?" or "what's so great, about the barrier reef, what's so fine about art, etc?" These are not happy songs. These are sad songs disguised as happy songs. For that, Get Set Go, are the kings by the way. Check them, because they won't be on the playlist.

  5. shayna says y'know, I just listened to Monsters by Band of Horses a few times in a row (and am listening again right now). it seems wonderfully sad, but what it really feels like is cathartic. there are reasons these songs exist, of course there are reasons the more upbeat songs exist as well...but we can let other people deal with those ones for now :) go ahead and listen to those sad songs! I know I'm gonna!

  8. thill says i love this song. I saw the lemonheads open for soul asylum back in 1992 at st. andy's. It was when this song was getting big. It was when he used to wear that really big red/black jacket. I was sitting on the balcony and he walked behind us and climbed down on the speakers and jumped on stage. Bit Part is a wonderful song too. a song about your parents divorce....pretty depressing on the depress-o-meter. I find i am in a horrible, terrible, very bad mood if i am listening to Gentlemen by Afghan Whigs.
