My Morning Jacket fits like a glove

I love this band. I was reading a piece about MMJ a year or so ago and the writer dubbed the band the 'American Radiohead'...I think that totally fits! I can't think of two other bands that play THEIR OWN kind of music so well, regardless of what every one else in the musical world is doing...Wilco may fall in to that category for me too...just an opinion...one of the beautiful things about music is that two people can listen to a song and hear totally different things.

Bawston Sean says If you dig MMJ you NEED to see "Wax Fang"http://www.myspace.com/waxfang. Which might happen, since they're touring together next month. The Fang played about a month ago at the record store where I work and they blew my mind. I've been listening to our recording of the show over and over again - they are completely and totally badass. Word on the street is that they're recording with Jim from MMJ in January - SWEET!

Takeshi Kovacs says Went to buy this on iTunes and got sidetracked by Wilco - and ended up buying the last Uncle Tupelo "Anodyne" CD. This is awesome. MMJ is going to have to wait for awhile. Hey Bawston Sean, will definately check this out!
