this is a great movie. i saw it just a few months ago.
great story. tragic. but one of the greatest rock and roll stories of all time.
i have always been surprised that there hasn't been a movie made about gram along the lines of 'walk the line'. there was that (i assume not very good - i haven't seen it) 'grand theft parsons' movie, starring johnny knoxville, which was about the hijacking of parsons' body by his manager, but i'd love to see a film that documents his entire life up til that faulknerian ending.

This is THE best coevrage of Gram's life is read or seen. It was originally a BBC documentary, unavailable here in the US for a year or so. I found a Torrent of it last year and it was mesmerizing.

I inherited my brother-in-laws vinyl collection when he emigrated to Canada twenty years ago, amongst it were albums by The Byrds and Gram. I've been obsessed with the man and his music ever since. Saw this film at a local run film festival, and managed to pick up an ex rental copy from Blockbuster. It gets better with every watch.
