WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Better than a t-shirt

One of the millions of reasons that I dig Pearl Jam so much is that they started to sell the actual soundboard recordings of all of their shows years ago...as an obsessive music fan there is no better memento of the show then a recording of the ACTUAL SHOW!! I am sure that this is logistically a nightmare, and probably not so profitable, but man I still love putting in a cd and listening to a show that I was at...wish more bands did this...I would totally suppoprt it!!

  2. lemontwist says Cool, but I'd never buy them. I'm not a big fan of live recordings. They're best left to my memory, I think.

  4. SatisfiedMind614 says I only bought the ones that I went too...there were a couple of years that I had no responsibility and no real time constraints and I could go to three or four shows a year...so I would always try to snap those up...it's cool to put the ticket stub on the cd! I am such a geek

  6. haggardpilot says when the first released those, I was furious. it seemed ridiculous. pearl jam have a lot of really loyal followers, and among them, I'm sure, are countless completists. it seemed like they were just juicing the fans for money, to me. these days I have looked at a few and thought they might be cool to have. and it never actually occurred to me that people would buy the shows they were at. because I was young and stupid basically.

  7. ROCKNROLLPIMP1 says it is becoming big business for A LOT of rock bands you can ususlly go to their website and order the live cd that next day or same nigh atfter the show. i wish my buddy still had acess to the soundboards here at the ga shows...sigh

  8. SatisfiedMind614 says Pearl Jam did it for the fans...totally...i have no doubt! Because i was one of those stupid people buying $45 bootlegs with HORRIBLE quality....so when they did the soundboard recordings...i was in heaven! Remember...this is the only band that tried to circumvent ticketmaster...they are nothing if not fan friendly
