  7. Bartleby says Damn you SM614... I can't be enough envious of you kaitlanemily for being so close to Chan. To see her is to melt for her.
Right after "What Would The Community Think?" I started writing her love letters with imaginary and Parker ink. I should really send them to her some day.
Some years ago, I read an article where she said she'd carry Bob Dylan's babies if he called her up. I swear my heart almost broke. Hey, losing Chan to Mr Zimmerman isn't so bad
Sorry for the digression. Coming back to "Lived In Bars," you feel how poignant it is when you know that Chan used to be an alcoholic.
If I may add one last comment, I've heard Miss Marshall played in the latest Wong Kar Wai's film. So here's to her and the other one who atomised my heart

  8. SatisfiedMind614 says Honestly,...and I know I use a lot of hyperbole in my writing...but THIS show was so amazing,....i have never seen or felt anything like it...and that band! Its like they were born for each other...she is just a national treasure...and most of the country has no clue

  9. kaitlanemily says i do admit i haven't been listening to her for very long, but ever since i started a couple months ago she's all i can listen to. i idolize and respect her more than anyone else i can think of. every it of information i learn about her is more valuable than gold. i suppose that sounds a bit creepy and almost stalkerish, but i don't mean it like that at all. she is just such a true human being that i can't help but envy her. i almost like it more that she is not well known, i would hate to see obnoxious groups of people just listening to her so they can look trendy.

  10. Mike the Knife says I know it's only a video. But having seen her perform at various junctures in her career (and being extremely fond of her despite her palpable unease in front of an audience), it's remarkable how personable and comfortable in her own skin she seems to be there. Heartening, to say the least.

  11. SatisfiedMind614 says Its unbelievable Mike...my first time ever seeing her last night, but i have heard the stories of her legendary stage fright...and watching the woman on stage last night was like a revelation...it was almost like being at church, and I am not at all religous! An amazing night....and the band she has put together...unreal...so tight...i am almost positive they don't have a set list...seems to be done on the fly...such an amazing night..i am still trying to process it all
