WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

'You know I hate to be around her...when she's like that'

Posted over 2 years ago
Ever have somebody in your life that you were just absolutely head over heels in love with...but they could just never get their demons in check? And you left because you had to...not because you wanted to...I did.I think about her from time time...and what could have been.I hope she's doing well...this song speaks to relationships like that better than I ever could.'One day I will know it's a waste of time...and there's a better road ahead of me...I just don't how to make it there'

  1. Peggah says What's great is when you leave them... and then three months later, their act is clean and they're in love with someone else. That blows.

  2. lmnop805 says It's a road of which I implore to familiarize myself with a bit more. I'm trying to make it there too. I think its a combination of time and what it is you do to distance yourself from it, her...etc. Time, it's not just time, time doesn't heal much, it's what you do in the growing space that aids more than anything. You know this morning I was thinking about something similar...if I was completely removed or healed from my situation, I don't know that I would have much to write about. What would drive my songwriting? I think I can ache a bit longer and be ok with it. Maybe you can find a way to enjoy the ache. Apologies if thats a stretch.

  3. Me and the Horse I Rode In On says Many great songs are written about these women. They're the most important ones.
