How appropriate...quoting one of Los Angeles native sons in the title of this post, Ice Cube.After wading through what felt like thousands of scammers, grifters, and slum lords I have found a place to live. It is way out there...suburban LA. But I am 32yrs old and I really don't need to live in Hollywood. I have been here for 11 days and it was fun to visit, but walking out to my car every night and keeping my fingers crossed that it will still be there just doesn't appeal to me like it used to. It's a nice little place in Canoga Park. And it is month to month, so I am not tied down for any great length of time...pretty much a perfect fit for my situation.And then I got home and checked the concert calendar(i have to do that EVERY day in LA, shows sneak up on you here) and I was happy to see Magnolia Electric Company and Ben Kweller playing a show together at the Echo on Sept 6. It was a good day...now some Magnolia and BK
