I've discovered a number of new (to me) artists over the past year, many due to suggestions from all of you here on MOG. But the past couple of months has been a dry spell for me. However, this morning I stumbled across a group whom I greatly look forward to buying the album of (once I get a job, that is). Joan As Police Woman is downright incredible. Now keep in mind that I have only listened to the samples on their website. But from that, I am enthralled. Further perusing of the site on the subject of the members show a great background of collaborations. Some of these are Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Sparklehorse, Nathan Larson, Mary Timony, John Zorn and Cat Power. All in all, I look forward to the day when I buy this album. And if any of you out there in the world of MOG already have, or decide to pick it up, please let me know how it is.

Definitely pick up the album. Joan Wasser was Jeff Buckley's girlfriend and a member of the band Black Beetle with one of the guys from Jeff's band. I can't stop listening to her song "Eternal Flame".
