WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

LP

i wasnt the biggest linkin park fan when hybrid theory came out. but when i heard meteora, i was converted. AND AN AWESOME LIVE SHOW. i was so close to chester that i could smell what he had for lunch. but im not sure how i feel about their new album. i havent bought it yet, but after hearing a bunch of samples, im not sure i want to. mog, im afraid. im afraid that if minutes to midnight is not as good as meteora, im not goin to like linkin park anymore. i mean of course, ill always have the good memories, but will they be sour from a long awaited, different sounding linkin park? take this video for example:sure i like the song, but this video has me asking questions.1) why are they in the dessert playin music? isnt that a little cliché?2) why did they bring all their equipment if theyre just lip synching?3) why do they have flood lights? its the middle of the day.4) are they singing out the problems in the world? cuz no one is going to hear them out there.idk, If any of you have the new LP, let me know what you think.

  1. Anonymous says I hear ya! actually I saw this video when they premiered it and it's ok but I liked their first album after that everything kinda went down hill and all those elements of the video for What I've Done make no sense at all !! good observation ;)

  2. mktackabery says I've had it for week and haven't listened to it because I keep reading about how it sucks and I'm afraid. I'm very afraid. I can't face LP becoming U2. I really can't.

  3. theonlybuster says I think the fact that LP is constantly trying to do bigger and better things is starting to make them less of who they were when they began. Granted they wanted to get away from the stereotypes they gained when they began, but after listening to their new CD, it's nowhere near up to par as previous CDs. It's simply not them. They're like a whole new LP. And yes it does seem as if they are becoming the new aged U2. They've mellowed down and are now almost a new band.

  4. Sam The Artist says FP: when i first heard hybrid theory, i didnt want to like them. i dont know why. i guess it just wasnt my type of music at the time. but then i bought the remixed album and it was more my flava so i started listening more. mktack: im one of the biggest u2 fans. huhhhh, yes, even the new stuff. but i know what you mean, its sad when a band evolves into something theyre not. that really sucks that you actually HAVE it, but cant listen to it. there is only one solution. it must sleep with the fishes. busta: i can understand the whole stereotype thing. my brother says that when a band starts changing their sound, its a good indication that they will break up soon. i dont necessarily believe that, but when i listened to all the tracks, it sounded like a bunch of different bands on one cd. even sounded like a little fort minor at times.
