Hannah Montana caught

Posted about 4 years ago
i know its no surprise, but little miley cyrus (aka hannah montana) has been caught not only using a body double but, dare i say it, lip synching.a hush spreads across the crowd...watch at 2:17 (i suggest waiting for it to load so you dont have to watch all the crap) when she poorly gets "covered" with a black sheet and removed from the stage as a double takes her place.i cant stand lip synching. do they actually think we wont notice? lets be honest,1) if a song sounds +exactly+ like it does live, its fake.2) if you dont hear any "pops" or "ssss" (like what a pop filter in a recording studio is made to prevent) then its fake.3) if you dont hear them take breaths, its fake."+her rep admitted to this.+":http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/people/731010,hannah010808.articleso what do you think? would you mind if someone you paid to see live lip synched because they thought it would add for a better experience?

  2. dachmo says Why do they take her off the stage? costume change? If I was paying $300 to $3000 per ticket to see her then I may have a big problem with this lip-syncing foolery but since I'm not a prepubescent 13 year old girl I really don't care, in fact if that's the kind of music that makes you go "Oh Yeah!!" then that's what you get. (Maybe I'm a little mad because I sat and watched the whole video, my niece who I made a wonderful mixed-cd for as part of her gift has yet to email me as to whether or not she liked it BUT did call to say how much she absolutely loved the Hannah Montana concert we all chipped in for. She's dead to me now)

  5. Dzendvokh says ya know I was thinking ... I got two girls, and God forbid if, when they get older, they want to see the next Hannah Montana, what could I do? I mean I would definitely NOT spend that kind of cash..... but on the other hand.... if they're into it, then resisting it could make things bad..... I know Ivy has something to say on that topic...

  6. Sam The Artist says theres got to be someone else that would take them... no wait ive got a better idea, be incredibly lame and embarrassing their whole lives that way they would rather NOT have you take them. and then when theyve grown out of it, show them this post. loss-win-win situation.

  7. Dzendvokh says to a teenager... the definition of "parent" IS lame and embarrassing, so I probably won't have to work at that.

  9. Sturgell says "The whole time this was happening Miley's vocals were still playing” an angry fan tells OK! “The new imposter had her back turned while she danced, trying to hide that fact that she was not Miley Cyrus. At this instant I became very suspicious. … I paid good money to see the concert. I was disappointed and I felt like I was played for a fool." ,.... ugh

  10. ardyjormkiv says one of the REASONS you go (or maybe just "i go") see a live performance is to hear the vocals. i love hearing them recreate and especially how they adapt the vocals to fit the performance. and i like a lot of weird bands, so sometimes i go just to see "how the heck do they make that noise with their mouth?". so yeah. lipsyncing is lame and unexcusable for me. if someone thinks it would make their performance better, they obviously shouldn't be performing. just a little, you know, rant... it takes us back to the whole ashlee simpson SNL fiasco. oh the glory days.

  11. Librarianguish says Dzen - expose your daughters early to a wide variety of music, and let them see you appreciating it. Tell them the truth about a lot of these "pop-tart" (I like that) stars - that the only thing they're really about is making money. Kids are a lot more savvy than we tend to give them credit for. I've always pointed things like that out to Nolan (and all about advertising) since he was very young. I really believe if kids are shown that there's a much wider musical world than the pop shlock of the mainstream corporate world, they won't be too impressed by it. Teach them to be the trendsetters, not the followers! :-) Also, I'm just disgusted with the price of tickets to these types of shows. Talk about extortion! I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see all the parents boycott these shows. One of my coworkers wanted to take her daughter to see the Jonas Brothers for her birthday, and the least expensive tickets were $300!!! This was for a show at the Everett Events Center. There's no way on earth she can afford something like that. I told her to write a letter to the band and complain. Don't know if it would help any, but still...

  13. Sam The Artist says sturg: thats exactly what i would have said if i were there in the crowd: "I HAVE BEEN PLAYED FOR A FOOL! A FOOL I TELL YOU!" lol ardy: thats one of the best parts of a live concert, when an artist can actually portray the sound that they sell, hell ill give them props even if i dont like their music. anne: i thought of that, but you can never tell how theyre gonna react to whats hot at skool (cuz thats how the kool kids spell it). of course i dont have kids... ya. hmmmmm: absolute bollocks i say! never would i spend that much on a concert.
