these last few days ive been rediscovering some of my favorite bands/musicians. i dont know why, but ive been listening to them like its the first time ive ever heard them before. and im falling in love all over again. its great. it must be because ive been introduced to so much new music this year (thanks to you) that ive become distant to some of my favorite ear candy. people that know me, know that my favorite type of music is the kind that inspires me.those musics:U2- inspires me to _live_.Sigur Ros- inspires me to _feel_.Peter Gabriel- inspires me to _love_.The Postal Service- inspires me to _create_.i hope you all had a wonderful and safe new years, and cheers to a new year full of new music!

    dachmo says that Postal Service album is STILL in constant rotation on my iPod. I feel bad for their next album because they've got so much to live up to, I just hope it's half as good.

    Augusts1 says Oh that's a way cool remix of P.S. I actually own that Peter Gabriel dvd & HIGHLY recommend it. He incorporates alot of AMAZING technology throughout the performance & the vid/sound quality is SPECTACULAR! I can't speak more highly about it. Since you're into Gabriel, you've gotta see it Sam, you just gotta man!

    Sam The Artist says zen: and to you good sir! augusts: i know i have it! i just watched it again the other day. i first saw it on tv and when he brought out the bubble ball thing i just knew i had to own it. he is a true entertainer in every sense of the word! ive actually been thinking about getting his older one "secret world" but idk.

    Augusts1 says Oh cool, glad you have it! That bubble that he runs around in totally blew me away, as well as the walking upside down but the whole thing is great. I've not seen 'Secret World'. I seem to have read somewhere, I think on Amazon.com that 'Growing Up Live' dvd is a much better one. Your library might even have it so you could check it out & watch it, which is what I might do too. Check out their website & you can probably reserve it online.

    Sam The Artist says holy crap. i just went on to my library website and they have it. AWESOME. ...i wonder if im gonna have to reapply for a new library card... i dont even know where my old one is... ahhh what ev. yeah i dont think it could be better than growing up, but it has a lot of different songs on it. thanks for the advice!

    Augusts1 says Hahahaha, see, the library is actually quite hip, more than you ever knew! Yvw. The library staff can look up your account for you, just go in & ask 'em. Just make sure you take in some type of id. I'm sure you're card is still good though. Most are indefinite.

    Augusts1 says Hahaha Sturgell, ya smartass! Sam, I'm sure you can reserve the dvd on the website since you found your card. Then that way it will be ready when they open again. My library doesn't have either dvd but does have the live cd of "secret world", damnit!
