im posting this song purely because its march. and i havent said anything about rogue wave in a while... and here is a video of them covering the pixies 'debaser' which i think may very well be better than the original IMO (at least the studio version).

No way, I'm starting to finally shed my winter weight. Now I'm not saying we need to dive headlong into summer, but please no more winter!
I don't think this sounds better than the original. Sorry but I don't agree at all. This version takes the balls & edge out of the original & makes it limp. Sure, their version is prettier sounding but I think you're just a tad biased in your Rogue Wave fanboy thinking, lol. I didn't even recognize it until the chorus. Just mho though.

oh i should have rephrased that, i like it more than the original personally. youre right in the sense that my fanboyism gets the best of me, that and i cant say im the biggest pixies fan. i mean i like a handful of their songs, but i dont think i have even one of their albums. its certainly not as edgy, but thats what i like about it. its more spaaaaacey. however i think golden gram (bass) is a little tone def. as far as not being able to recognize it, i think thats a good thing! i love it when a cover can sound totally different than the original.
Ah ok, that makes more sense. I'm a HUGE Pixies fan personally, but certainly not opposed to covers of their tunes, in fact I really enjoy hearing other versions by bands. But I do like to be able to recognize the song generally. It's rare though that a cover actually eclipses the original. The Pixies original of this has such a punk edginess to it that I love.
Unfortunately I'm not much of a Rogue Wave fan, despite your numerous attempts to recruit, lol. But that's what makes life tres interesser.
I liked this Debaser, mainly because because their version works nicely and wasn't an exact copy.
I know I've got a Rogue Wave album in here somewhere, must dig it out!

I'm really just trying to not be so negative all the time, I've noticed that my hair is starting to fall out at a greater rate than usual. So anything that doesn't stress me out is welcomed in my world, at the moment.
I hear ya, I gotta work at having a positive attitude alot. I've come a long way but still have a long ass way to go! The stress is so NOT worth it!

i just had my annual review at work, and one of the areas they want me to improve on is my attitude. hehe. apparently when im working i can seem a bit cold.

march is such a strange month. and it's going by so quickly...
aug: ya i should prob change the ave! and i work in a magical warehouse where everything is ten times bigger than it needs to be. unfortunately they expect me to do something to get benefits lol.
