so simple, so sweet sweet. the books really remind me of chris gunst mixed witha dash of lali puna and goodness. this video is (as my grandmama would say) just lovely.and heres one made from their home videos.often when i listen to the books, i feel compelled to put on my headphones. its not so much the panning that is pleasant, but its a more personal sound. something that is being played just for you. i dare you. plug them in, close your eyes, and _dont think_. these are mine. i rep the skullcandy.^^on the traveling mix

  1. annieander says You have to know this...I didn't scroll down for your whole post. I was sitting at my desk and pressed play for the 1st video. It started, and about 30 seconds in, I had to grab my Sennheisers. I put them on, restarted the vid, and then I scrolled down...Then I saw your serving suggestion of listening with the phones on. Great minds think alike. I am loving this...could you put this up on Multiply friend.

  3. Sam The Artist says YES! YES! THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT! however, i dont have a multiply... yet. i havent really been able to figure it out, what exactly can you do on there? i checked out all those songs in your electro mix's, but i did so individually on other sites (btw, boardsOcanada and eno are definitely coming to hawaii :D). and WHERE IS THAT TRACK FROM?! almost uncanny.

  4. annieander says That is an exerpt from This American Life...Episode #203. It is about the best phone message ever recorded. Jonathan Goldstein does a whole story about that message. I relistened to "If Not Now, Whenever", and I heard the passage you took the title from(I can't find the books, they must be in La Jolla). That is Jonathan Goldstein's voice saying those words...I could recognize him anywhere...It must have been sampled from TAL...and was spawned from this voice message. Thought you might want to know the origins. Oh the stuff I know, but I can't remember my Mom's birthday. Suscribe to multiply (much like a myspace account)...a lot of moggers are on there too, so they can post music in a more interactive way. (Insert winky emoticon here...see I am trying). Then you can post these songs. I am feeling your love of the Boards, and it pleases me.
