so saturday was fun. i went to seattle with my friend matthew to see the DCB (not to be confused with DMB), and it turned out being a grand ol time. im not the biggest fan of david crowder, but i do enjoy his music to a certain extent. my friend matt however is borderline obsessed. and i would never want to see a friend travel to a show alone. god knows ive missed my share of concerts because of that situation (ex. daft punk, im still kicking myself in the pants). after getting some burgers and shakes from Dick's, we head to the moore theatre, and the line is wrapping around the building. thankfully it moved fairly quickly and we escaped the saturday breeze. The two opening bands were surprisingly good, which may have been a first for me. i dont think ive ever been to a concert where i honestly enjoyed all the supporting artist... well idk, maybe. but then the empty stage turns teal, and over the speakers i hear "Starálfur" by Sigur Ros. after it plays for a few minutes, the band enters right as the piano kicks back in. ooooo im sold. to the left of the stage is a large screen that displays the lyrics to each song, you know, just in case you wanted to sing along. at one point david breaks out this "Guitar Hero" video game controller, explaining that B-Wak (drummer) had modified it to actually play for the next song. super sicktr! heres a video of it from a san antonio show.well after the concert, we walked out to the concession stand, meeting up with some friends. luckily we all printed up these certificates off of dcb's website, not knowing what they were for nor did. my friend shows it to the people at the booth, and they hand him a sticker. i was all like "we wasted all that printer ink for a stupid sticker?" then looking at it closer, the sticker read "Meet and Greet." we were all escorted to the lounge downstairs and got to chill with the band. nice. matt can die now apparently.
_yeah im short, but he's freakishly tall. and he's a flipping wildebeest!_
