Asleep At Heaven's Gate

my car broke down the other day. lame... but while its in the shop, im borrowing my aunts suv. although its nicer than my jeep, the cd player is broken. apparently SOMEONE tried stuffing a cd into one of the slots of the 6-disc changer with a cd already in it. so now i have to resort to listening to the radio. which is tedious since i just bought the new rogue wave album.OFF TOPICi was sitting in dead stop traffic last night thanks to the construction going on the busiest street in town. i had just finished a pepsi and a snickers bar (king size) and was feeling a little, how do you say? "antsy in my pantsy." i was listening to the rap station, getting crunk, when i heard chamillionaire (not a fan). i quickly smashed my hand against the radio, hoping i would connect with a button that would take me away from _there_. a preset lead me to coldplay's "fix you." now, i have a beautiful voice. much like dean martin in his prime ;), so i sing to just about everything i know, and a lot i dont. as i went over bumps in the street, i just stopped singing. ive heard "fix you" a billion times. but for some reason i felt like, well, just listening. it was something about the light sprinkle of rain. the brake lights in front of me that filled my car with a brilliant red glow. the tired construction worker that held the stop/slow sign. everything was in slow motion, and im not talking about the traffic. has that ever happened to you?BUT BACK TO ROGUE WAVEyea. its good. the new album that is! im not sure i could ask for anymore than what they have delivered to my ears. tracks that have made my day are as followed:(A = Awesome) ($ = Radical) (A$ = Awesomely Radical)1) Harmonium ($)2) Like I Needed (A$)3) Chicago x 12 ($)4) Lake Michigan (A$)5) Lullaby (A)6) Christians In Black (A$)7) Own Your Own Home ($)8) Ghost (A)9) Missed (A)10) Fantasies ($)11) Phonytown (A)12) Cheaper Than Therapy (A$)so... basically all of them are good, if not great. im not sure if i could compare it to "descended like vultures" because they are just so minutely different. but all i know is i cant wait to see them live on tuesday! expect another post full of live love!
