You kinda get the feeling in this simple tune from Alanis Morissette that she has had a pretty busy love-life. Aside from mentioning she was in her early twenties when this was released(i think) shes mentioning several boyfriends and possibly guyfriends as well. Matthew, Jonathan, Terrance, Marcus, and Lou- is it me or do you get the impression that Alanis might strongly fear that Lou might be dead? I guess I connect with this song because I often wonder about the whereabouts of some of my exes.... And yeah, they could be dead..... ANd shame on me for not sending any letters......And what does that mean when you take the time to write a letter and then don't?
