Charles, Dana and I went to a good one a couple nights ago - Blitzen Trapper at Muddy Waters. Really cool vibe and the joint was packed. A good dose of Americana, with more than a few parts Dylan, some great three-part harmonies and an eclectic mix of acoustic, jammy, pop rock. I really can't say it better than this Pitchfork review. After self-releasing their first three records, their latest record Furr is on Subpop.

it's not often i listen to bands that are this folky but i love all the songs i have heard from bilzen trapper. these tunes are also a great accompaniment to colder weather and sitting in front of warm fireplaces.
