Okay, this is not a plug for Hot Chip's "Over and Over" (and over and over and over, like a monkey with a miniature cymbal, the joy of repetition really is in you), but that song is maybe as fitting as can be for the state I'm currently in.You see, sometimes, I come across a track that I just looooove so much, I got to hear it over and over (and over and over and over, like a monkey with...) again, and when it's finished, I immediately get to urge to play it again. When I'm in the train, I listen to it on my discman, when I'm at home I turn on the volume and start acting like a raving lunatic, when I'm on the computer the clip on Youtube is always on standby; and it simply doesn't bore me for days on end, and I just want to listen to it because, apparently, it makes me happy to listen to the same track over and over (and over and over and over, like...) again, for some mysterious reason. This time, it's the track "Common People" by Pulp, which I recently rediscovered. I can't help it, but I've listened to this track at least six times a day for over 7 days straight now, and I just can't get enough of it. The lyrics are genius (But you'll never fail like common people, you'll never watch you're life slide out of view, and you dance, and drink, and screw, because there's nothing else to doooo), the slow start and then the change of pace has got me ecstatic every single time I listen to it, and I love to playback it with mimics simply because you can do it so well on this song, even though you'll always lose against the Minister of Silly Dances, Jarvis Cocker.I feel like a goldfish, whose memory only lasts 10 seconds or so and thus is happy to see something over and over (and over and ov...) again because it always seems new and brilliant. But, unfortunately, goldfish behaviour or not, I can't help myself, and this track has been playing almost non-stop, and I still find much delight in it.Just to check if I'm just weird, does anyone else sometimes have this, and if so, what was the latest song you wanted to hear over and over (and over and...)?

Jarvis' songs always have that effect on me. I was like that with 'Running The World' recently, and once I bought the album 'Fat Children'.

Yeah, I'm afraid I've got the Jarvis bug myself at the moment. ;) He's coming to Holland in a couple of days, but no one I know knows him so I probably won't attend, which is a shame.
His "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time" clip just made it to The Netherlands, genius, saw it for the first time today. :)

Yes, the lyrics are genius (and not just because it starts "she came from Greece, she had a thirst for knowledge" :P).
I do this ALL the time. I think I've listened to Kaiser Chiefs' Ruby about 50 times yesterday; I kid you not.
I might need professional help. Meh :)
