New Tapes 'n Tapes Song From New Album

Posted almost 4 years ago
Tapes 'n Tapes debut album "The Loon" was one of my favorite albums of 2006, and featured my favorite song of 2006, the fantastic "Insistor". I was interested to see what they were going to do with their second album, because the first one was so eclectic (and at times, I admit, a bit uneven, though "Insistor" and "Omaha" are just mind-blowing). And here it is, the first song from the new album "Walk it Off", and the song is titled "Hang Them All". And if this is an indication, then the second album will be even better than the first! Well, at least I like it, I'm curious to see if you do to. :) In my opinion it looks like they just might have evaded the dreaded sophomore slump. ;)Their album will be released on the 8th of April, and will feature 12 songs. You can download this song from their official site. http://www.tapesntapes.com/

  3. Zeroskilz says Not bad. Sounds like they moved away from that Pixies-type sound of the first album. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Bartleby says Eclectic was indeed the word for their 1st opus - this could be a sequel to their "Jakov's Suite." I really like it. Thanks for sharing the info and the cut.

  5. SA says Glad you guys liked it. :) Yeah Pyro, Tapes 'n Tapes isn't really that well-known, I just happened to stumble on the clip of "Insistor" two years ago, and that got me hooked. ;)
