The fragility of her voice and the lyrics- the singles of the album often putting her in a I-can't-get-over-him role- are put to a backdrop of disco-pop. Often mid-paced, sometimes more danceable than others, this album is just a great mix of synth-driven pop tunes and the fragility and intelligence I love about indie. Smart lyrics like "I risk my reputation, just to get a room" are put on an upbeat tune to blend into this delicious mix.
