The Three O'Clock's With a Cantaloupe Girlfriend is Carnaby Street meets the Beach Boys, a crunchy tune with a caramel center, and one of my favorites from Rhino's fantabulous Children of Nuggets box. A great car tune, a great Spring tune, a great ride around in the car in the Spring with your juicy cantaloupe girlfriend tune. Sadly released to no acclaim on Prince's Paisley Park records, it wasn't the great radio hit it shoulda been, but it lives on in the hearts of many.
