BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Track: Kung Fu Fighting - (featuring Bus Stop/Carl Douglas)

Just looked at my watch and thought, hmmph, it's a Sunday afternoon. Just about 2pm. God, how did I used to spend Sunday afternoons as a kid? Well, if we weren't on a family drive or sliding on cardboard down grass hills at the local park - my sister and I watched TV together. What, you might wonder, did we watch in the late 70s early 80s? Sunday afternoons were definitely not known for their quality TV offerings. Early morning - we watched Davy and Goliath. There's nothing quite like a proselytizing clay figure... or two or three ... for teaching morals. In the afternoons - Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was a staple. So were Godzilla and Mothra movies. Really bad FX and all! And there there were the Kung Fu movies - our favorites. The action! The dubbing! The strings that made them fly! Awesomeness. Here's a tribute to Sunday afternoons with my sister:

Everything you said was totally on point, then about 4 PM I'd start thinking about getting a pizza, 'cause it is New Haven, and that is the best thing the Elm City has to offer.

Hey, Cody B - Awwwrrrr. Pizza in the Haven! Love the stuff! Are you a Sally's, Pepe's, or Modern Fan??? I'm all over Modern these days [though I feel the love for Sally's and pepe's and the spot, too], and occasionally, I love the mashed potato and bacon pizza at BAR...

Rawkkiddo! Damn straight! So funny you mentioned Kung Fu, too. My dad would wrangle my sister and me into watching it on Sundays, usually before a Star Trek rerun or Cosmos episode. Love it.
