So, I've been on this TV reminiscence mission. This is random, very windy, circuitous, of logic. BUT - I had my sister ready my MOG-posts re: our childhood TV watching. She loved it. And she reminded me that on those Sunday afternoons and afterschool when we would watch the Bugaloos, Giggle-snort hotel, Land of the Lost, or Brady Bunch and Monkeys reruns we were not allowed sweet, greasy, or crunchy-crumbly treats. No, nothing like that was allowed in our household. What did we get? Well, we got pickles. Kosher dills wrapped in paper towels. That's what we ate while watching TV. And since that was all we got - we made them last. There's nothing like a sodium bomb in the the late afternoon to aid you TV consumption! As a slightly deranged and definitely vulgar 36 year old, my mind leapt from afternoon pickle snacks to my favorite song while at Berkeley as an undergrad:King Missile's "Detachable Penis." It was just so Berkeley-hip. Judge me as you will.
