The Libertines to reform for Reading and Leeds
-
Artist:
According to The Guardian newspaper, and various other news sources, Pete(r) Doherty and Carl Barât have settled their differences for the princely sum of £1.5m and will play one of the headlining slots at this year's Reading and Leeds festival. Both shows will feature Doherty, Barât, plus original rhythm section John Hassall and Gary Powell - who went from The Libertines to perform as part of Yeti and Barât's Dirty Pretty Things respectively.
The only sticking point at the moment? Doherty was arrested last week on suspicion of drug dealing in relation to the death of heiress Robin Whitehead. If it turns into a full-on criminal investigation, these shows could go up the bracket (pardon the pun).

One of the few possible reunions I'd love to see but probably never will.
I'm amazing Doherty hasn't OD'd yet (at least in a sense of not making it). He's the Scott Weiland of the new millenium. How he gets by, I'm not sure.
