Placebo make 'The Never-Ending Why' video user-friendly

Posted 4 months ago

International rock band (it's hard to call them Brits, given that the only genuine Brit in the band was sacked two years ago) Placebo have created a very special page in relation to their brand new single (for Norway and the UK at least) 'The Never-Ending Why'. (The rest of the world will be able to buy the single release of 'Ashtray Heart'; I personally prefer the latter song.)

The original video was created by Champagne Ideas at Nexus Productions, and in conjunction with the band and Big Eye Deers, they have taken the already heady psychedelia of the main video even further by making it interactive. Basically, the flying bird from the original video is under the control of your mouse, and you can scroll up, down, left, right, and all directions inbetween, as if you were controlling the bird's direction in the actual video yourself. It gets very confusing with the shifts between scenes and is a teensy bit nightmarish visually (epileptics take note), but for three-and-a-half minutes of fun, you could do a hell of a lot worse. Check the original video below, then click on the first link and see what you come up with!
