Am on a massive wave of nostalgia, and so going through the net to help unlock the memories. Thus, here is the first music video I ever saw:
For a 10 year old country boy, this was a borderline headfuck-come-musical epiphany. That's what happens when you live in the middle of nowhere and suddenly experience something that was under the direction of Chris Cunningham.
'Afrika Shox' was the first single taken from a hugely successful album (Rhythm and Stealth hit #1 in the UK charts two weeks after it was released) from one of British electronica's leading names - this and debut album Leftism were both Mercury Prize-nominated. They are missed and revered alike by fans and critics.
