Definately one of my favourite old skhool punk bands. A joy to behold when they fire on all cylinders.

I saw them the other side of their fame (at a pub in Nutley, Sussex, called the Shelly Arms), when they were back doing the pub circuit. Still high energy, although Charlie Parker was looking pretty rough. But put on a great performance.

Hey FP. I don't know how much success they had in the States at the time they were getting singles chart exposure in the UK (around 79-81). They came out of the 'pub rock' scene (and, some could argue, ended back in it), and forming around 76 they would have been part of the original UK punk rock movement.

The first successful single was Stranglehold (1979) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYVDqL_8HbY

They also released a cover of the Zombies' - She's Not There - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aur8Miwq9Rc
