Lost in the woods (in winter, in a hole, with an owl)

No two albums by this band seem to be the same. It's good to see a band that were, and still are, doing things a bit differently than others in the black metal genre. If they just built a sound around the first track on this album it would still sound interesting. Top-notch production - none of that 'in the bedroom' TM sound quality here (which they actually used on a later album). Clean, drone, choral, raspy and female vocals are all used with great effect. The interchange between acoustic and distorted parts is very well arranged. Actually, the acoustic parts are so evocative you could loop them and use them to construct some interesting 'remixes'.
