Wow, what a fabulously fun album this is. It relishes in it's disco influences, unashamedly borrowing here and there, but putting it all together in something that captures the full spirit of the era with an updated sound. This is an album that just makes you smile and giggle at it's absurdity. This isn't an album to sit quietly smoking a cigar and sipping a brandy, this is one that begs you to get up and dance!
Laura is a great song to get an idea what this is all about. A quirky, funky Rick James tribute.
Take Your Mama is a good hearted little song that reminds us that we can still party at any age.
Comfortably Numb, a tribute to the Bee Gees and Pink Floyd, Damn! Genius! What more can I say! I love the Frankie Goes To Hollywood reference on the word "Relax (I need some information first)".
This is a blast from the past from start to finish.
