Wow...I was listening to 'Samuari Math Beats' the other day, and I wondered out loud, "Where in the world is Bogdan Raczynski?" I wore this CD out back in the day. It was a wonderful mess of an album from Rephlex that had a great sense of humor and a hard-to-put-your-finger-on unique quality. It still holds up as a great album, and it deftly blended styles to escape the dreaded IDM monoker for the most part. It was frenetic, it was frenzied, and most of all, it was fun!
Fast forward to this morning, and I read in this Brainwashed post that he has a new album coming out!
While Brainwashed lists the album 'Alright' as a new release this week, Bogdan's official site lists November 19th as the new (pushed back) release date in the UK (with other regions to follow shortly after). It also looks like he has updated his site and keeps a blog going these days. Great news for Bogdan fans everywhere! Has anyone heard the album yet? I know he has offered horrible 16kbps(!) versions on his site, but I don't even want to bother with those (there's his crazy sense of humor again). I can't wait to hear the real deal, though...
