I haven't listened to this album in a fair while - I had almost forgotten how incredibly awesome it is! Thank God for wonderful artists like At the Drive-In...although they may no longer be.

Great album, man. Those guys were special. Of course, the Mars Volta is pretty cool too.

I am about to make my first foray into Yo La Tengo. Yo La Tengo have long been a band whose music I have been meaning to check out, and just never gotten around to. So, I finally got my hands on "I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One", hoping it's a good place to start.

Yo La Tengo is like fine wine. One doen't gulp. Approach with caution, erase your notions.........start from nowhere. Suddenly it makes sense. Glorious, soaring, exhilerating sense. Magicaly transcendant and earthy real, YLT weaves soundscapes that envelope the mind and carress the soul. Enjoy

That is the best album to start with. At least, I started with it. It's so awesome. It's like this groovy trip that you take, the whole album. It's fantastic when you want some quality background noise, something to zone out to, or you can really get involved. It's versatile. It's also great music if you plan on partaking in chemical substances.

I heard this song while I was watching Nip/Tuck the other night. It just made me think about how much I have grown to love Kid A as an album. At first, I wasn't sure about it. Maybe my expectations were too high - The Bends and OK Computer are two of the greatest albums ever in my opinion - but on first listen I was a bit indifferent. However, the more I listened to it, the more I began to appreciate its brilliance, and the undoubted courage of Radiohead in pursuing such a different musical track. While it may not be OK Computer, Kid A is a different kind of brilliant all its own.

And Amnesiac is even better! (though it's a tough call - Idioteque vs. I Might Be Wrong; Treefingers vs. Knives Out ...)

I too took a little time to get used to them, but those two albums have become my favorite Radiohead releases.

Kid A itself is my current favorite song on the cd. I think the bends through hail to the thief are all masterworks.
