Why can't the U.S. urban scene be like this?

I got hooked on The Streets with a guilty pleasure of a song called 'Let's Push Things Forward'. Sure, it might not be the deepest song ever to come out, and might be filled with urban culture references, but it still had a feeling of honesty to it that's lacking in a lot of music. Listening to other Streets music left me coming across 'It's Too Late', a song that feels like it was written with actual emotion and experiences behind it. Here's hoping that even if The Streets never takes off on this side of the pond that it can at least leave an impression on future bands to come.

  1. Sturgell says I remember when this song first hit the radio. It was shockingly progressive in a few ways.
