More Backwards Fun

Jorobot's post reminded me of something cool I discovered recently. I'm sure some of you have heard this before, but there is some backwards masking in Prince's album "Purple Rain" - specifically in the songs 'Darling Nikki' and 'Baby I'm a Star' possibly others (?) - I've posted these 2 here:http://www.reticweb.com/NikkiikkiN.mp3http://www.reticweb.com/StarratS.mp3The original bit plays first, then backwards.     82times says "Darling Nikki" sounded spppoookkyyy. The whole movie/album gets scarier if you start thinking about the on-stage dance-actions that accompanied the chorus of "I Would Die 4 U".

    fastnbulbous says Reminds me, along with Sly Stone's There's A Riot Goin' On, there needs to be a deluxe reissue of this one: Disc 1: Purple Rain remastered + outtakes (of which there are numerous high quality ones available. Disc 2: Purple Rain B Sides & Extended Mixes + Single Mixes if room is available. Disc 3: Live at First Avenue 1983: Besides being a great live performance, the concert is noted for three things 1) Debut of Wendy on guitar, 2) Debut of Purple Rain songs, & 3) "I Would Die 4 U, Baby I'm A Star, & Purple Rain" tracks on the Purple Rain album come from these performances (with editing & overdubbing).
