So for funky friday, I seem to be late with my post. Between a 90 degree day, loss of my internet for a while and a child who doesn't seem to want to nap, I spent a large chunk of my day at my favorite lake. It was hot, yet felt so right to be out in the sun. With it being Friday, the crowds were out as well. People watching is something I could do for hours, and it was something that helped today as I trekked around this mass of water. After reading Kristiana's post on her incredible bike ride, I took my camera along and documented my trip so people could get a look as to why I love walking around Lake Calhoun.First look of the lake as I parked the car. Love the skyline in the backround.
Next, we start down the path..... had to wait for a little break in the action.
Fishing your thing, well these are found all around the lake.
Next my sons favorite stop on the trek, the playground that looks empty in this picture. Seems it was just too hot out, and the slides hurt if you touched them. 
Next one of three beaches around Lake Calhoun, usually packed but the heat drove most people away.
Although we didnt eat here, the pavilion has some of the best seafood at a bargain of a price.
A quick glance at Uptown. A place where you could easily win a game of hipster bingo.
Lastly, the thing that made my day. Some woman had her 8 pups out and swimming in the lake. This guy took a liking to me, and I wished I could have brought him home.
So what does this have to do with music, not much but I do have a little something funky to add to the mix. Hope everyone has a great weekend, and hope you enjoy the tune. The song, not so much funk, a little more soul. After a hot day like today, its what the doctor ordered.Did I forget something.......oh yeah das booty!
