I have been poking around the internet looking at all the big festivals that will be taking place over the next few months. One caught my eye that has not been mentioned here on MOG. The festival is called the Graspop music festival, and takes place in Boeretang, Dessel, Belgium. Dessel is situated at approximately 50km northeast of Antwerp (Belgium) and 35km southwest of Eindhoven (the Netherlands). What started as just a summer music festival, has become a meeting ground for metalheads throughout the world. Anywhere from 80,000 to 100,000 fans flock to Graspop each year to see the whose who of metal music. I started looking through this years list of bands and one stuck out like a sore thumb. I can only hope this turns out better than when they played at the Pirates game this past August. In case you are wondering, they were set to play three nights in a row after the baseball game, and got fired after the first night.
