When the police come a calling, and the feet get a moving

Posted almost 5 years ago
Yesterday I did a post of my "run in" with the law. I actually have never had any type of run in with the police, and do not even have a speeding ticket to my name. Scratch that, I did get caught driving with out insurance once but that is a whole other story. Anyways, on my post quite a few moggers gave ideas of great songs to be chased by the police to, and I had to agree they were pretty good. While I never could imagine myself trying to outrun the police on any occasion, I wonder what song would I want playing if it happened. Here are the posted videos along with my contribution.CrashPryorWadeAnnaMy choice

  1. Joxley says Good choices all of them, I always thought that it'd quite good to be taken down by armed police singing along to "Take me out" by Franz Ferdinand...but Springsteen's Born to Run would be my "car chase through the desert" track.

  2. Rawkkiddoh says Nice picks Jox, and I agree there would be a big difference between a foot chase and a car chase choice.

  3. chulsmith says wow, get the vids all going at once and it makes me wanna go steal some milk from tom thumb or something. lyrically, lacking in the getting chased by the police, but musically, makes my booty wanna move...

  6. Rawkkiddoh says Nobody more, nobody gets hurt........very solid choice. Is it me or does seeing the running in these videos make it so you want someone to chase you.

  7. Anna says Word. This post will probably lead us behind bars. Bad Kevin.

  8. Rawkkiddoh says or with restraining orders from random people we go out and shove in hopes of getting chased

  9. Anna says Kevin, if I had the equipment, I would make a documentary out of that. Maybe in the future. I'll credit you, ofcourse. But I'd really like to do it, with all the songs.

  10. Joxley says I was just going to say, we are coming up with a soundtrack to a really cliched cop movie..and as for shoving random people to get chased, you do know about "happy slapping", don't you?

  11. Anna says I do, because you just told me about it on MSN :P I'm making the documentary!

  12. Rawkkiddoh says happy slapping? I do not think this game has reached the states yet, then again we are always late with finding out new things. I will say it could be the title for our film....

  17. SamTheButcher says Dale scooped my suggestion. But he saved me from having to go to YouTube and find it and embed it. Me too! la la la....

  18. Rawkkiddoh says Another solid choice Dale and Sam, now we need about 15 more for our soundtrack.

  19. SamTheButcher says Oh jeez. Well, I dunno there's a video, but I'll nominate "March of the Swivelheads". It's the music that is playing when Ferris is running home at the end of the movie.

  27. Mike the Knife says What about "Yakety Sax" by Boots Randolph, the song they play whenever Benny Hill and that old guy are chasing busty babes around the park? That would be the funniest perp chase EVER!

  30. Mike the Knife says Oh, man, Rawk! Too much. Hadn't seen this before, but "Yakety Sax" makes everything funny. Meanwhile, I think that the clip is one of the most brutally intense and creepy scenes in sci-fi movie history, and one of Speilberg's top movie moments. The whole film is pretty good, even though I'm no Cruise fan and the script starts to falter in the final third. But the sound design alone, the clanking of the tripods and the chilling alien klaxon, was worth ten Oscars. Brrrr...

  31. Rawkkiddoh says Couldnt agree with you more, and as for the whole Cruise thing I still like the movies he has put out. I know he is a bit on the bizarre side, but you cant argue with what he has done, minus Top Gun and Cocktail.

  32. Zeroskilz says They say better late than never; so, I'm commenting. If I was going to run, I'd pick The Raveonettes, Cops On Our Tail. It's short and furious; just like I imagine running would be.
