The Good, the Bad and the Queen

Posted over 2 years ago
The Good The Bad And The Queen, the new album by Damon Albarn, Tony Allen, Paul Simonon and Simon Tong, will be released next Monday, 22nd January. A limited edition CD/DVD will also be released, featuring live tracks and exclusive interview footage. So those of you Blur fans and or Gorillaz, the wait is finally over. I personally can not wait for this album to come out, it sounds like Damon put a lot of effort into this release and from what I have heard so far it should be good.

  5. Zeroskilz says You said, "from what I have heard so far...." I ask the question, "You know the entire album is streaming on their mySpace page, right?" Not a bad album, but I expected a little more from this group of people. It lacks a bit of punch. Maybe I was just a little over-excited about it.

  6. Rawkkiddoh says I did see that Zero, and I have been meaning to just sit through and listen to it all but time is not on my side. I think I might be a bit biased, I have always loved Blur and the Gorillaz and feel that this will be right up there. I also have a thing about listening to the music of my favorite bands before it comes out. To me, there is something special about getting the album the day it comes out, and popping it in for the first time. I try not to listen to upcomming albums that much online because I love that feeling of a first full listen.

  8. mktackabery says (((HUGS))) i never have time to listen to streaming albums either . . . can't do it at work, I'll get stomped by a Kiwi IT maniac; then at home, I'm too busy downloading. HA! but in light of Zero's comments I'll might take the time now. I too like the first full listen though. never anything like the first time right? since we're all hugging. . .

  9. Rawkkiddoh says Watch your hands mkta.............. Yes, Nixne the verve too. I sometimes think I was supposed to have been born in England. Between the music and David Beckham, I feel like I am an english bloke trapped inside the body of an American.

  11. Zeroskilz says I see your point Rawk. Over the years, I've switched to the other extreme. I buy very few albums that I have not listened to first. But I almost always buy. I would say that I physically own about 80-90% of the music in my collection. The number is a little lower than it should be because a friend and I swapped collections before she moved away. I still haven't weeded through everything she gave me to decide on purchases/deletes. I'm making progress though.

  14. thill says i have listened to some of the stuff on stream and someone has it loaded on their mulitply site. my son is really into the clash and he really liked the gorillaz and has come to appreciate BLUR (Parklife anyway). i am very excited to get this. I have to admit to being not as impressed as i hoped...i hope it grows on me. i think my expectations were way too high as well. i am a bit of anglophile myself...got no love for the beckham though.

  15. Rawkkiddoh says Ouch thill, sometimes I think its just me. As for the album, I have tried to remain very opptomistic about it. I know sometimes you get your hopes up for a project, and then its a big let down when you actually hear it. This happened to me recently with the new album from Brand New.
