Funny how life works sometimes, actually a lot of times it is not something you really want to laugh at. A while back I did a post about a friend who I had thought I lost. I guess you could say it was a way of me hoping they would come back into my life. Then life gave me something good, and that person was back in my life once again. That would be the funny part of it because often when you least expect it good things happen for no apparent reason at all.
Here it is a few months later and like that the person I wanted back in my life is gone once again. This after a promise made to me that no matter what happened they would never leave me..........again. At first I thought it was just a busy schedule, now I know it to be different. I guess I can say I played the fool once, but I am positive it will not happen again. It hurt enough the first time when this person left my life and now that it seems to be happening again I am feeling the same all too familar hurt .
This weekend was a cold one here in Minnesota, and I spent last night just listening to my music collection. After a few whiskey drinks I found an album that needed to be put on. Willie Nelson is an artist that I feel sounds better after a few drinks or ten. He is someone I grew up listening to, and one of the few country artists I never complained about when my father put on after a sunday dinner. Last night this song came on and it seemed as if the music was telling me to say good bye. I can not describe the feeling that came over me last night, and the smart part of my brain is telling me that the whiskey had a good hold of me. Either way I do not think any song could have moved me the way this one did, and if you ask me its a pretty good Sunday song for mog tonight.

Some songs were composed to say goodbye, some spirits were created to give us mental clarity, and some people came only to leave. You have 3 out of 3.
I usually go with Franz Ferdinand's Walk Away and Placebo's Song To Say Goodbye, and I'm half way there.

I don't have any "goodbye" songs, just songs to listen to when you're not feeling that great and that match your mood. (Usually go with Patrick Wolf's Wind In The Wires & Teignmouth and Akeboshi's Tall Boy)

So is this someone online or in your real life? Some relationships aren't meant to last but a few moments, others a lifetime. I hope you heal quickly from this 2nd loss. Maybe they weren't really a true friend after all . . . .

i'd say how i really feel here but i am guessing you don't want that public. this hurts, because i thought if anyone would understand what i was going through, and still believe in me (and that i meant what i said when i said i would never leave again) it would be you.

WOW, Hello Guys and Girls, This is really turning into an emotional thread, Thanks Willie and Rawkkiddo and Llucy. I started to reply earlier but went looking for a song or 2 to post that would be fitting but I found too many. I've been listening to all sad and crying songs tonight and I'm not leaving anyone, I'm happily married for the 4th time though this one has been 26 years with one 18 month break-up inbetween, but we got back together tighter than ever before,, Highly recomended if you want to work for it and you believe in YOURSELF, The other half will come around.
Some of Willies stuff lets you Wallow in your misery but he has some works that can be uplifting. Play "Valentine" from "Across The Borderline" it is a Happy sng and another one of my favorites.
Dig into your music, you will find release, find Love, find solace too, but you can fond lonliness as well.
Tomorrow will be a better day!
