Wake up kids

Artist:
I am a fan of video game soundtracks, and sometimes my decision to buy a game will depend on which songs are on it. Every so often a developer will throw you a curve ball by adding a band that you have never heard of, and then you can only wait until the song comes on to decide if you like it or not. A great example of this was with Madden 2004, and the use of the song "Are You Going To Be My Girl?" in the soundtrack. I had never heard of Jet until then, and after hearing the song once I was on my way to the record store to pick up a copy of the album.
Well, it has happened again and this week I will be heading out to look for a band simply named Cheeseburger. I had seen the soundtrack to Skate 3 a while back, and really did not do to much investigating into the bands on it. Both Skate and Skate 2 had incredible soundtracks so I knew the people over at EA Black Box would put together a great mix of music to play their game to. I heard this song last night and I am hooked. I was not sure if there would be a video for it, but god bless the internet because there was one. Hope this helps you wake up a little on this fine Sunday morning!

Kinda fun, at least I am awake now.
wow. good ole boys, prison, blood&guts, fellatio reference, dead babies, man eating frogs...
What's not to like? I want to photograph these guys.
Live show looks pretty fun if you ask me!
Insane! Pretty much what I expected. I am going to watch for these guys and go see things that just can't be unseen--no matter how much you might try
amber......make sure you dance with those guys in between shots.

I believe there was a Carnival Cruise commercial on TV that hammered that particular song home as well. Kudos to that band's management for getting as much mileage out of that one.
As for this Cheeseburger song? Sounds like your rudimentary by-the-numbers boogie rave up band. Not surprised that a video game is its intended placement. There is a generic quality to a lot of that (don't actually want to overshadow the game, now do we).
uhhh...me dancing with them inbetween shots might be exactly those scarring moments you just can't un-see.
YES! I love me some superjail! and this song at the beginning had me curious. I didn't realize it was also on a video game sndtrk, but it is the opening credits song for SuperJail on cartoon network
I thought all responsible, non-substance abusing, clean shaven adults watched Adult Swim. Wait a minute. I need to put the bong aside. What I meant to say was; I thought all lazy, substance-abusing, jobless adults watch Adult Swim. Love me some Superjail! Though Metalocalypse is the pinnacle of adult (non-pornagraphic (no tentacle sex thank god), unless violence can be pornographic) cartoon animation.
I have seen super jail ads, just never seem to find the time to watch it. Love the song and video enough to say it is on my list now! Also heard there is an acoustic version that plays at the end
Superjail is a great show. Twisted acid trip nightmare kind of stuff. Every opening sequence includes the same mulleted guy getting taken to superjail in a different way. My fave episode ends with the creepy Willy Wonka looking bearded guy from the video (Tim Harrington of Les Savy Fav I do believe) doing something creepy in live action.
I have a feeling that after a day of teaching 5th grade this would be right up my alley
Love that Jet song & bought the album because of it. Unfortunately the rest of the album didn't live up to the promise of that one song.
Not wild about these guys, not my style I guess.
one out of two aint bad, and I agree with you about Jet. I just got their newest album at the library, going to give it a listen on the way into work tomorrow
ahh i remember the ol days when tony hawk games didnt suck, they were full to the brim of great jams. 'cyclone' - dub pistols, 'king kong' - la symphony, 'not the same' - bodyjar. i could go on.
its funny that you mentioned jet, because it was a game that killed that song for me... RB1. i seriously cant listen to it anymore. :)
agreed on that one, there is a list of songs that both rock band and guitar hero killed for me
