I mogged earlier about my trip to best buy and the treat I picked up known as the streets. I failed to mention the other item I picked up, and seeing this at Best Buy almost caused me to faint.
After snatching the new Streets album I was making my way to the registers when I saw a new display at my local Best Buy. The display was for vinyl, and it looks like for the first time I can remember Best Buy is selling records. The selection was not huge, yet they had quite a few albums I more than wanted to pick up. It appeared as if they had done their homework because almost all the artists seemed like they were ones vinyl collectors would want. There were not any Top 40 acts at all, but instead a concentrated mix of good bands to listen to on wax.
I was not going to pick anything up, but when I saw the Wu-Tang Clans first album for a mere $9.00, well I could not pass it up. I checked their web site, and currently they have 7,323 albums availible for purchase. Not sure how many moggers are aware of this, I have to say it is news to me.

How can they make any money on Vinyl at $9, unless their selling expensive record players?
Do they have 180 gram vinyl? I keep hearing about all these places offering vinyl, it makes me want my record player back! Wish I had the space for it...
I think you nailed it, Contra.
