In addition to having a DVD coming out on March 17th, NOFX has announced they will be putting out a brand new record come April 28th. That's right, NOFX have your coffee table in mind this spring with the release of their 12th full length studio record, Coaster. Not only will Coaster protect your favorite end table from that offending gin and juice cocktail, but music will also be included! That means 12 brand new songs to sip that drink to.
This would be the first time I truly got excited for a new album to come out in the year 2009, and seeing it is from one of my favorite bands I could not be happier. It will be like an early Christmas for me in both April and May. April has the release of a new NOFX album, and May will be the month I finally get to cut my hair because of the reading contest my class is doing.
In case you are wondering, I go each school year with out cutting my hair, then the kid who reads the most books on their own gets to take a clipper to it to shave it all off. Currently my class has read the most of any other class in our school, so I will be counting down the days for both the record release and the end of May to come.

Great to hear they're coming out w/ a new record (and great idea w/ the haircut concept)! Nice cover art too. Their cover art has been weak since Heavy Petting Zoo (although Pump Up the Valium was good, not great. What's on the DVD? Wasn't too keen on Wolves... or War on Errorism... but looking forward to hearing what they sing about post-Bush.
