If your favorite musician was a car

Posted over 4 years ago
Today I decided to take a trip downtown to hit up the library for some new music. Great idea I thought until I hit traffic. Here in Minnesota they are right in the middle of some major road work which has slowed everything down considerably. Most of you know of our recent bridge collapse and now it seems like it is always rush hour, even at 10 in the afternoon. As I sat in traffic I began to compare the cars around me to the music that was playing on my radio. It became a game, trying to find the right kind of car to fit the music that was being played. I decided to keep it to 10 artists, and even had time to write down the order in which the songs were played. While I was not good enough to have a camera handy, there is always google and these photos are pretty close to what I saw. Next time you are stuck in traffic, try and find a car that you think best represents the music that is being played. It makes the time go by a lot faster when you are going 5 miles an hour.Song #1 - Gatekeeper by FeistSong #2 - LDN by Lily AllenSong #3 - Narc by InterpolSong #4 - Speed Freak by MotorheadSong #5 - Encore by Jay ZSong #6 - Steady As She Goes - by the RaconteursSong #7 - Walken by WilcoSong #8 - Benzi Box by DangerdoomSong #9 - Brian Wilson by the QueersSong #10 - Won't Get Fooled Again by the WhoOh, and before anyone asks about the randomness of the playlist, my ipod was on shuffle. Felt like a little of everything today.

  9. Rawkkiddoh says Lizzie, if I saw cars like that out I would have to play those songs just in admiration. Dale, very cool please tell me that is yours! Lyrikhan, the PT Cruiser thought was the idea of some 50 year old guy singing along in a car he thought was the bomb. For the record I do not own one, nor plan on ever buying one..........

  10. Dale says Nope, I Google'd it; that's the car I want when I grow up. While doing so, I found that it belongs to a Denver Hearse Association. Why oh why am I finding out all this cool stuff about Denver, now that I'm eight hours away?

  11. Lizziegreeneyes says Trust me Kev... I like the cars... not the songs - well Stray Cats were kinda kewl - but Billy Joel & I we're like oil & water - we just don't mix. I see a lot more of this... *&* & the song for these two pathetic excuses for mobility... You're So Vain ~ Carly Simon or Rock the Casbah ~ The Clash ;)
